The text on the back of this silly postcard says, "It is not unusual to break these fellows and use them for ranch work."   This is an unused, color photo postcard, printed in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  The Jackrabbit and Jackalope are a popular subject for western postcards.  I have several in my collection, including this one.

The Big One Got Away

This vintage postcard features a supersized fish on the back of a GTO.  The front caption says "One of the Small Ones" The back says, "The Big One Got Away."  This card is undated, published by Petley.

Googly Gator

This googly gator gets me every time - he has a squeaker embedded in between two layers of card.  When ever I pull a new card to post, he gives a squeak!

The caption that comes with this image is "The first one I landed"  But surely something more clever than that is running through this fisherman's head.  This card is undated, but the image and paper indicate it is quite old.

This is a silly card - probably a photo-prop with a hole for the person's head.  It is odd because it looks so disembodied. The signature on the front is hard to read, perhaps "Jill Carroll"?

It's been HOT here!  This funny illustrated postcard comes in many incarnations, each with a different desert-climate city on the top panel of the sign.  I have several of them, each with a different city.

This is a great travel postcard featuring a supersized rabbit.  I guess it's meant to be funny, but it reminds me a of a B-horror sci-fi flick from the 60's.

It is such an interesting card, with writing space on the front, as well as the back.  The back says "POST CARD" but has no other markings.
I think the black and white illustration is so clever.  Take a look close up:

Are you planning a vacation?  This little guy is.  Standing in front of a sign post in Maine, located at Lynchville at the junction of Routes 5 and 35 in Albany Township.  This scallop edged postcard is a old color photograph, perhaps from the 50's.

A vintage, illustrated card.   This one is undated but was used in the 70's.  Judging from the texture of the paper and quality of the printing, it is much older than that.  A great vacation postcard from the "wild west"!

Perhaps one of these crazy costumes will fit the bill.  This is a vintage, hand colored postcard from Germany.  Not sure what the text says.  Can anyone translate?  Not sure what they are doing.  Any ideas?
